I love it. Everything in my house is old style.

I like these. I have all these old check valves in my house that have been stuck open from decades of hard water and there is about a 90% chance that they will leak or break if I try to close them. I tried replacing one and it was a real pain removing the old metal compression sleeve to install the new one. To use these Sharkbites all I had to do was cut off the old valve (and bushing) with a pipe cutter, polish 1 inch of the remaining pipe and put it on. That's all. And if I ever need to replace it, there's a removal tool (or you can use a wrench the same size as the water pipe) to push the release ring on the back of the Sharkbite and it slides right off. They are easy to install, you can first connect the Sharkbite to the sink (wrap Teflon tape and tighten the hose), then just slide the Sharkbite into place and you're done. This made installing the reverse osmosis water filter much easier as I had 2 lines to the Sharkbite, one for the sink and one for the reverse osmosis (it came with an adapter to connect the 2 lines to the shut off valve). Install and screw everything together with the Sharkbite before reaching under the sink. All I had to do was just slide the Sharkbite onto the prepared hookah. You should be aware that the Sharkbite is free to rotate around the pipe. So if you don't want it to move when the valve is turned you should make it straight, not the angled model pictured (where the valve is on the side). and the sink connection is at the end). Anyway, no big deal. I just said.'
