Despite the metal braided cord (with lock) the case does NOT hold up very well even in moderate winds (Phoenix is not known for its high wind speeds). It has to be constantly put back on our Mazda, which does not allow us to buy a car cover. The case is also very thin and thin. The fact that it tears easily is also an undesirable "property" of the product. Update: We bought it on June 12th. What started as tears turned into full tears in less than two months.
