This is my second order as they seem to be disappearing in my house. I only use them in a front load washing machine. I use softer wool drying balls. Even my teenagers notice the difference by using them (very rarely) when washing their clothes. To me, the difference between using and not using is like pouring cream into your coffee and then either stirring it or letting it sit. Washing machine before getting dressed. I can use Super Wash or Crystal Bleach depending on what I'm washing. I use liquid laundry detergent (which I make myself and is even better than Tide) and a mixture of vinegar, lemon and lime juice for the liquid fabric softener that I put in washing machine dispensers. Then, since I usually have a full load, I put a few of these balls in every 4 layers of layered clothing. These balls improve the circulation of water and soap and also help prevent clothes from sticking together, allowing the fabric to better wash away dirt and odors. My kids and I firmly believe that using these types improves the cleaning of our clothes. Using it in the washing machine is now a must for us.
