Good first: castings are fine. Now for the rest: It's pretty small. I read the reviews and knew what it was going to be, but I was still a bit surprised at the size. I'll try to post a photo of him next to a life size skull to really show the difference. It's a shame because this thing is also super realistic (when casting). Another problem is the color. I was concerned about redness around the eye sockets, but that's not too bad BUT there are a few small scraped/missing areas with no paint where the jawbone meets the skull on one side which was a real bummer. This lowered my rating from 4 to 3 stars. I think if you were creative you could fix or enhance the color. I bought it for $9.50, I think I'd be happier if it cost $7-8.
