but in typical Rugged Ridge style they just aren't as strong as I would like

Overall these mirrors aren't bad but in typical Rugged Ridge style they aren't as strong , as I would like. I keep buying their stuff because it ends up costing me less than I need/want. Jeep parts are outrageously expensive, so it's a good deal, but you get what you relatively pay for. Pros: - Easy installation, although I can't figure out what the concave washer is for. When I put it on the bracket, I can't clamp it. When I'm not using it, only the bottom of the mount is in contact, preventing the mirror from rotating. - good price - good size for a square mirror - stays in place at highway speeds. Cons: - weak back panel flexes when adjusted. , you need to loosen the ball screws to adjust easily. This has got to be the thinnest sheet metal in the world.- The flimsy backplate makes the mirrors vibrate a bit and sometimes makes it difficult to see objects in the mirror. This is neutral for me because I believe that other manufacturers like less pipes. I don't expect RR or any other Jeep accessory maker to do wind tunnel testing to determine the speed of the whistle.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No performance
