Review on 🧤 Cuisinart CGM-520 Heat Resistant Silicone Gloves, Black (2-Pack) - Optimize Your Search! by Jessica Erwin

Excellent gloves only if they are fully intact.

Love the concept of these gloves and was thrilled that they fit the new stove and oven that were installed FIVE DAYS ago. I bought these after buying a new carbon steel wok because when I finally got up the nerve to season it REALLY on my old stove, I found my hand was in danger of coming into contact with the metal sleeve around the wooden handle get . For the initial work I wore heavy leather gloves up to the elbows. So I chose silicone gloves as my NEW oven was due to be installed on 05/25/21. I was hoping the new WOK ring I bought for him would fit. By the time they finished installing, it was too late to brew. WOK ring fits. So on 05/26/21 I used ONE of these new silicone gloves. It worked wonderfully! My new oven had a pizza stone. ONE GLOVE did a great job on 5/27/21 delivering pizza to the rocks and taking it off again without a pizza turner. 5/28/21 ONE GLOVE did a great job getting the baking tray I used in the new oven to try out the convection feature. So yesterday, 05/29/21, I wanted to try the baking function on my new oven. When it came time to take the HOT grill out of the HOT oven and set it on the counter, I had to use TWO GLOVES. Knowing the glove worked, I donned TWO gloves and reached out to remove the grill from the oven. As I bent the fingers of my right hand to reach for the HOT pan on the right, I saw something pink. So I stopped and thought maybe the glove still had a sticker or something. When I took my hand away and looked, I saw nothing. I went back to the pan and saw flashes of pink in front of me again. I stopped and looked at the glove again. saw nothing So I made the same "grab motion" in the air and watched. I saw my THUMB pop out of the 1 inch gap in the glove's seam! If my skin color wasn't pale pink, if my skin was much darker, I might not have seen that "pink flash" when I reached for the pot, and if I grabbed a heavy 400 degree brazier and pulled out, I'd probably have more than one crispy chicken skin stuck to a frying pan. So buyers should beware of this product as it could hurt my hand badly and I'm sure I would have burned my legs if I dropped the 400° fried chicken pan. So I don't really know if ANY GLOVE arrived damaged and I was just lucky that every time I used it I took ONE intact glove and that damaged glove was not already on. Or it was a glove that I used THREE times in three days and it's already damaged. I hope this review gets published because if it doesn't, someone might not realize their skin is being exposed by a damaged glove. I don't think I would give them away because I don't want to be responsible for someone burning down.
