Review on Iomega EGo USB 2 by Ryan Reiter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pocket-friendly, beautiful and functional.

Every portable hard drive is different. Once you have reduced the abundance of external drives on the market to a few suitable competitors based on capacity, weight and dimensions as parameters, the equally important choice of color and shape remains to be made. The internals of the Iomega drive have been described in countless reviews on the internet and in computer magazines: it does its job and it's quiet. As for the looks of this device, picking a color is a tricky one - there are eight of them! To each their own, but while reading this review you've also noticed that Ruby Red is the most attractive. Consider its ergonomics and pocketability and this is a winner. The appearance quality is high and the semi-matte finish leaves no fingerprints, so it looks good on the table all day long. The device requires two free USB ports for power supply, which must be next to each other to use the supplied cable. Otherwise a hub or a longer Y-cable is required. This hard drive has a sturdy look and high quality finish. It is shaped like a pocket with no sharp edges or corners. This reviewer couldn't find any flaws in two months of daily use of the device.
