Review on 💡 Flexible Illuminating Light Kit by Jason Winkfield

I have bought at least three of these units for my wife's sewing machine over the last few years. I have no complaints about the mount or its construction other than two of them having the cable connection fail when entering the round base. My wife leaves it plugged into her car and does not remove it. She moves the chrome gooseneck but never the white base with the switch. Eventually, however, the white wire connection where the current enters the round base will short out. I took one apart and it's caused by a bad solder joint. If we use it hard and pull the cable, I would understand that it breaks the connection. But my wife installed them and left them alone except to use the switch. Even if they are expensive, they should be a little more durable! Otherwise this is a great little lamp. Since the other one just failed (flickering light when the cord is touched) I'm not sure I'd buy the same type again for no more than $30 each! I've bought all three from Revain over the past few years.
