It may look like a famous brand popper, but it is a very bad imported fake! I have had a Whirley Pop popcorn maker for many years. I've decided to go on a keto diet and didn't want to be tempted to eat popcorn, so I gave my Whirley Pop to a friend. Due to the lack of popcorn and being stuck at home due to COVID-19 I had to return my Whirley Pop. I didn't look at the brand, I thought there was only one Whirley Pop and that was Revain's choice when I chose Whirley Pop. I didn't really notice a difference until the popcorn started popping and the gears started sticking. I then went to tip the popcorn into a bowl and the aluminum seal on top didn't prevent the top from opening so I ended up with hot butter and popcorn all over! The top clasp was riveted, not screwed, so there is no way to re-tighten the top clasp to the lid. The gears are so cheap they bent the only time I used them. And it was only two dollars less than the real WP.
