Popcorn lover raves about

I use my popcorn maker about every other day, at least every 3. It makes perfect popcorn, fluffy and tender (of course when cooked over low heat - any bagpipe does it harder Kernels and others that don't crack when cooked over high heat Faster isn't better in this case This pan is larger than others I've used and the little ratchet on top that turns the stir stick is metal others instead of rubbers and rubber parts often break easily due to the grease they are coated in. Hopefully they hold up…

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • No power

Eureka! I've found the perfect popcorn maker!

Sometimes an original idea is the best! This is the case with popcorn makers, and this one proves it! At first I wondered if it would be too big, would it take too much work, would it take too much effort. But it was wonderful. I use this all the time. It does exactly what it promises. Just follow the clearly written instructions that come with the pan. Every grain pops, nothing is ever burnt, the pan is almost clean, and the popcorn is delicious and retains the taste of salt well when you add…

  • Wide range

Only buy if you have no problem buying something else.

I took this one because the price is the lowest and I will say it works. The problem is that the gears don't rotate quite freely with respect to each other, creating torque in places you know will eventually fail. It works out. Add a tablespoon or two of coconut oil, 1/2 cup of corn, lightly sprinkle with flavacol salt (I mean light salt if you don't want to get desert salted) and some popcorn butter and you're done. Movie theater. Popcorn is better than any microwaveable bag. Just know it…

No need to pay more

World's first "whirley pop" and found this one for $22 at the time of my order. I've made a few batches and they're great. Just the right size for a 1/2 cup of kernels and judging by the design of other more expensive versions of this I really don't see what anyone else could do better. Only tiny negative comment is that I could feel tiny droplets of hot oil coming into my hand through the vents, even on relatively low heat. I don't know if other poppers have a better vent design to avoid this,

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Security

Buy the real Whirly Pop

It looks just like our 20 year old Wirly Pop. In fact, the parts are interchangeable. However, this isn't the original whirily pop. The fit of the parts isn't quite right - the lid barely stays on the pot and the metal is a bit thinner so the rotating mechanism seems to bind once the popcorn starts to pop. The most important thing is that the "swirl" part doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. It ends up sliding onto the popcorn beans instead of moving them around. This can be largely…

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction

  • Long delivery time

The swivel mechanism first failed, then failed completely

Too bad. Initially I was happy with this popper, especially as it was a lot cheaper than the brand I previously owned. However, I noticed from the start that the swivel mechanism was not working properly. The gears were caught and held every four to five revolutions and then continued to rotate with a jerk. I found it annoying but the popcorn was good so I decided to live with it. Then, after about ten runs, the gearbox just stopped working. It's still possible to make popcorn by shaking the…

  • Elegant design

  • Infinitely stiff

I really like it except.

I have this old aluminum popper and wanted a stainless steel option so I went for that. The pan is excellent - nice and heavy, heats evenly, pops great, easy to clean. But the lid is pretty cheap and cheap and seems out of place with the bottom! My old popper had a wonderful spatula that effectively stirred the popcorn kernels and made them move. This new popper has a thin wire instead of a paddle and sometimes the kernels and/or popcorn will get stuck and interfere or make mixing difficult. I…

  • change price

Make no mistake, this is NOT a Whirley Pop popcorn maker!

It may look like a famous brand popper, but it is a very bad imported fake! I have had a Whirley Pop popcorn maker for many years. I've decided to go on a keto diet and didn't want to be tempted to eat popcorn, so I gave my Whirley Pop to a friend. Due to the lack of popcorn and being stuck at home due to COVID-19 I had to return my Whirley Pop. I didn't look at the brand, I thought there was only one Whirley Pop and that was Revain's choice when I chose Whirley Pop. I didn't really notice a…

Impressed! Easy to use and no more burning or "old maids "!

I am very impressed! Makes fantastic popcorn very quickly and cleanly. The steam vents are efficient so you get crispy popcorn. And although it's made of lightweight aluminum, the popcorn won't burn as long as you turn the knob a little. Pros: - The lid stays on well but is easy to remove when you need to clean it. - The vents are efficient and keep the popcorn crisp without sloshing hot oil all over the stove. - The gear and handle ensure a secure grip and gentle stirring, so your popcorn…
