It looks just like our 20 year old Wirly Pop. In fact, the parts are interchangeable. However, this isn't the original whirily pop. The fit of the parts isn't quite right - the lid barely stays on the pot and the metal is a bit thinner so the rotating mechanism seems to bind once the popcorn starts to pop. The most important thing is that the "swirl" part doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. It ends up sliding onto the popcorn beans instead of moving them around. This can be largely corrected by bending the curved portion on either side of the twist portion. I wish we had seen the original version before buying these - they cost the same and you will be much happier with the original.
