The soft rubber buttons on one of my 2013 Kia Rio key fobs are worn. Ordered this replacement and it is like new. If you take the new one apart, note that inside there is a small Kia logo and a screw for a spare key fob. There is nothing special in the packaging and instructions, just a plastic bag. To disassemble the old one, remove the battery and cover. Use snap ring pliers that expand rather than compress. Unscrew the old key and insert snap ring pliers into the gap under the key loop and pry apart. It is not easy to disassemble and requires some effort, but it is detachable, be careful not to damage the small circuit board. Make sure you have the chip in the key fob, transfer it to a new case. This will be a small black object about 1/4" X 3/8" that will be glued on. This will be a tiny piece tucked in the corner opposite the key hinge. I didn't have it, if I don't pass it on the car won't start. Videos are best found on You Tube. First put everything together, using the bottom half of the new key fob, insert the circuit board and align the circuit board guides. Don't forget to wind the jack spring to allow your key to self-deploy. Then, while holding everything together, pin the top half together. Check out some videos on You-Tube again.
