Works great - interior

I wish I hadn't looked for this sooner! I have worn buttons on both sets of keys for my 2013 Kia Soul. I used an eyeglass screwdriver to still use the buttons lol. It was time to sell the car and I was embarrassed to give away the keys in such a crappy condition, but I didn't want to buy a new $300 key fob from the dealer. It was such a cheap and easy solution. I just watched a short YouTube video and bambam it's done. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Empty

I bought this key fob because the housing on the lock button on my old one was cracked and it didn't work. There are no instructions so I recommend going to YouTube for instructions. It's pretty easy if you watch any of the videos available. I replaced the electronics and the key and everything works fine now. Please note I took the blank key to have the key cut as an extra and was told the blank key would not work with my 2012 Kia Soul key.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are nuances

Costs money! for salon accessories

I really liked how easy it was to take apart and insert the chip and key from my broken key fob with this case. YouTube offers a great way to create videos. The only thing is that the KIA Soul 2013 version doesn't have a tiny chip that could be carried with a bigger motherboard. I thought it was because of the video so I spent an hour looking for it thinking it crashed when I was disassembling my original keychain. Mine also came quickly and was well packaged. Thanks very much! I will be…

Almost fully deserved

The name says Kia Soul but there is no Soul in the description. I wasn't sure what to expect but I bought it anyway. The plastic and buttons match perfectly, but the key body and button are slightly different. Had to reuse my old mechanical knob because it didn't fit. I also wanted to use the shank as an extra wrench, but the dealer couldn't cut it. The stick wrench has no groove. This is how I was able to restore my key, except the button on my mechanism looks worn. It looks great but I didn't

So much saved! good for interior

I bought a 2013 Kia Rio and the key fob that came with it was almost useless. I was advised to go to a dealer and/or locksmith to purchase a new key fob for a minimum of $200-$300. I saw that there were key fobs here at Revain and decided to buy one and using helpful instructions from several youtube videos I switched the electronics from the old dented key fob to the new one and it works like a charm ! Basically, I got a new key fob for at least a tenth the price of a new one. I am very…

Slightly different injection molded fin caused problems

Bought a 2013 Kia Rio about 6 months ago with a slightly damaged hitch. The rubber started to peel off. So I bought it to replace the rubber seal. The rubber gasket is firmly bonded to the plastic mold so I had to use the whole piece. Everything seemed to fit. I followed a YouTube video on how to switch. I could even handle a difficult situation with a computer chip. BUT this new carcass has a rib that my old carcass didn't have. They were almost accurate, but not quite. This caused problems. I

It's not that easy to find instructions on how to assemble this thing.

This product replaced my original KIA fob. The body is exactly the same as my 2013 KIA Soul. It's not easy to find instructions on how to put this thing together (but it's very easy to take apart since it's just a shell) but I was hoping the real keychain would come with some instructions to show you how to disassemble the original Key ring Kia. The package contains only the shell with all the necessary parts. However, I found instructions online on how to take apart the original key fob and…

Worked great. Best in Antivor

Worked great after replacing the circuit board from the old key fob. On my original, the hinge part of the ignition key was broken. The old key fob is difficult to disassemble (glue), I had to file about 1mm from the end of my key to line it up properly with the key holding the key in the rotary component. I could also make a key with the blank provided. Although there were no problems with assembling the block. The upper and lower parts are fastened with a screw. With small KIA emblem and…

New key fob - anti theft

The soft rubber buttons on one of my 2013 Kia Rio key fobs are worn. Ordered this replacement and it is like new. If you take the new one apart, note that inside there is a small Kia logo and a screw for a spare key fob. There is nothing special in the packaging and instructions, just a plastic bag. To disassemble the old one, remove the battery and cover. Use snap ring pliers that expand rather than compress. Unscrew the old key and insert snap ring pliers into the gap under the key loop and…
