Review on 🚪 Lippert Components 859794 Screen Defender: Premium Aluminum Protector for 30-inch RV Entry Door Screens by Abdullah Huan

Would have been 5 stars but for 2 things. ONE, I'm pretty good at reading instructions, but when I'm determining what measurements I need, the instructions say to measure the doorway and then go up 1/2 inch. I don't know why they don't just ask you to measure the screen width. It would be much easier and more accurate. The first one I ordered was too small. Then I ignored the instructions and just ordered the screen size and it fits perfectly. SECOND, it comes with extra spacers if it's bigger than the Lippert Screen Defender I had. I used a large spacer. There are no installation and insertion issues, but while the Screen Defender has small "prongs" on each corner to attach it to the inner channel of the screen door, the standoffs have nothing. When you first open and close the door, the seal immediately fell out, causing the screen protector to fall off. After reading some of the other comments it seems this happens to almost everyone. Definitely bad design. Fortunately, this is easy to fix. I used a strip of clear Alien double-sided tape on the underside of the braces. This securely attached it to the bottom of the screen. Then when you insert the screen protector into its top, with its 4 "prongs" going into the side channels. VOILA! Very sure. Even if you don't have pets, I think it would be nice to have one.
