I missed the return deadline by a few days and couldn't get the seller to answer my questions as detailed below. They sent me back to Revain for doing it. There is no easy way to submit a return request to Revain after the returns window has closed, even if you have an issue with the item. Do not buy this timer for the following reasons: It won't fit the bottom socket of my external outlet because the plug is tight and resting on the bottom of the box so I can't plug it in at all. So I have to plug it into the top socket, and again because the plug is designed to block the bottom socket in the box, so I can't use it for anything else. Also, you can't access the top of the timer on/off buttons to set them up because the transparent cover blocks them, requiring you to turn the dial and reset the clock over and over again. Finally, it doesn't have an on/off timer option like other timers I have. It is better to buy a three-pin one with a flexible cable and the ability to turn it on and off by timer.
