Most of what I wanted to say here has already been said. Maybe I can add. The lens is complex, very expensive and is it worth it? The answer is absolutely "YES". The downside is that without a tripod it's difficult and almost impossible to get a clear and sharp image. This makes the lens less versatile as it depends on the amount of supported hardware required to capture scenes properly. I would like the lens to be able to focus both manually and automatically. However, if your camera is on a tripod, the picture will be amazing. Hidden Feature: Beautiful built-in blue sky controls. If you've ever worried about spending money to get the best circular polarizer, you might not need it with this lens. This lens is good at stabilizing color values, resulting in better depth of field without a filter. If you forgot your filter, don't worry. Your lens can still take great pictures with stunning skies. In short, the Nikon 24mm f/3.5D ED PC-E is a great piece of engineering! This is excellent value for money.
