Advantages: - Inexpensive. A quality set costs 5 times as much. - For light work in a project that doesn't require perfection, this can get the job done. Cons: - Cheap. The quality is very low. Obviously rough cast and rough floor. Not polished smooth as it should be. - Dolls are not polished on all surfaces. All carriage surfaces must be polished and serviceable - Wrong hammer angles. The levels are not flat, the curves are inconsistent. The handles appear to be made of pine. Quality tools should have handles made of hardwoods such as hickory or oak. The hammer heads are attached with glue, not with a wedge/mandrel. This indicates low hole tolerance and if you do need to replace the handle it will likely be off center (this has already been done) - One of my hammer heads is slightly off center - hammers are smaller than expected. - All metal. The surfaces are covered with something like transparent polyurethane. This indicates that it will rust easily after wearing. Bottom line: if you're a pro, you'd consider this junk. When you have a small project that doesn't require perfection and you don't want to spend money on an actual kit. This will likely get the job done.
