Doesn't charge constantly. The clamp is not stable.

I really wanted one but looks like I got a defective block. Charging takes about 5 seconds, then stops for about 10 seconds, and then starts charging again. He does it over and over again and with multiple phones. I tried iPhone 8Plus and iPhone X-max. Both phones charge easily with other chargers. The second problem is that automounting is very inconsistent. Sometimes it won't close, sometimes it won't open, and sometimes it won't open wide enough.
