Note: I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Recommendation Material/Build Quality - When I first saw the product, I liked the look of the headset. There are beautiful curves along the microphone holder and headset body. The plastic has a matte texture and feels sturdy when touched. When wearing the headset, there is an in-ear part and a rubber part to keep the headset in place. The insole has a comfortable amount of foam and smooth, textured synthetic leather. The seams on the ear piece do not come into contact with the skin, so skin irritation is minimized. On the opposite side is the rubber pad on a small hinge, it is flexible and soft. The headband that connects the two ends is a rigid curved metal strap with an adjustable length. So far I haven't worn the headset for more than 10 minutes, so I don't know if the stiffness causes any discomfort with prolonged wear. In terms of styling, there's a chrome finish around the mic grip, buttons, and the rim of the speaker. Between the earbud connection point and the microphone mount is a design that looks like turbine blades, which I think looks cool. This design does not appear to be functional. Functionality / Application - A nice feature is the swiveling microphone arm. This is a useful feature as the microphone can be worn on either the left or right side of the head. With an adjustable headband and microphone, the headset fits most people and preferences. In addition, the movement of the microphone is tight, so you don't have to worry about it accidentally changing position. There are three buttons on the outside of the earpiece; Power and volume +/-. The buttons are relatively large compared to the body and positioned so that you can feel them without looking or guessing where they are. In terms of adjustment, the headband and mic boom adjust fairly easily and stay in place, which is a plus. However, as this item is still new, I don't know how it will perform once worn. As for the system electronics, there is an LED power indicator (ie on and off) and a low battery warning indicator (ie red flashing light). It's not required, but it's nice to have features. The battery claims 13 hours of active use and 220 hours of inactivity. At this point I haven't used the headset enough to test those specs, which also include the time it takes to fully charge the system (i.e. around 4-8 hours). The USB cable that comes with the system is a bit flimsy, I would have liked to see a bigger wire. This helped explain why the system load time is so long; Low current charging. If you're using the system to talk to others, there's a neat feature that lets you connect two devices at once. I haven't used this feature, but it will be useful to me. In terms of quality of use, the sound seems to be good. I've used this headset in my car and in my office with my desktop fan running at full blast. During both of these use cases, I was able to hear the other person. It is important to note that one of these calls was via Skype (office use), which is not as effective as a regular phone call (car use). A possible reason why the sound quality seems worse than expected is that the speaker size is a bit small (5/8 inch diameter). Better than good which is why I gave this product 4 stars. My overall recommendation is that this is a good product and if you are going to buy this Bluetooth headset, give it some consideration. However, depending on the environment you're in and using a headset, you might want to consider whether noise-cancelling headsets or headphones with heavier padding are better if you're going to be wearing them for long periods of time.
