We needed a solution and we found the perfect solution. My father has started working nights and my mother's cat is deaf, old and has dementia. She constantly wanted to be in and out of the master bedroom to eat, drink, use the tray and just see if anything had changed. We were housebound and forced to remain silent to ensure we heard her screams before she woke my father. So we decided on a cat door. The door itself was easy to install and even came with two separate sets of screws to choose from. Locks work great but we decided they weren't needed. At first I was concerned that the old cat hated pushing the magnetic door, but after just a few hours it all boils down to instinct. Finally the house is quiet again, no more loud and excessive meowing to open the door! lol It also holds a significant amount of sound. I definitely recommend it.
