I bought this coat to keep my 12 year old dog with Lar Par cool and after it got wet it was too heavy for her , so I was really upset at first but then I thought I'd use it for her but as a drawer cooler pad and it was GREAT! my young dogs do well with this product as they are strong and have no back problems, its weight is not heavy. Perfect for my dog but being able to use it for the cage mat is excellent. Otherwise I would have given a bad rating even though the fabric can stay cool. but the fact that I could put her in her kennel and put on a fan. Bravo! win win! the material stays cool for a long time even in our North Carolina heat/humidity :)
