I bought these to use with my extremely narrow back teeth and I have to say they work really well for narrow teeth. I also have some dental work that makes flossing the back of my mouth almost impossible, and these in-between cleans make a world of difference. The last time I went to the dentist for a teeth cleaning, the hygienist told me that it was obvious that my dental work was interfering with my teeth cleaning because that was the area where there was a lot of tartar. Not being able to floss or even use a traditional toothpick in that area I wasn't sure what to do (I use conditioner but apparently it can't get into hard to reach problem areas) . So I gave these intermediaries a shot and I'm already seeing a huge improvement. At first my gums were a bit swollen after I started using it from poking it with the tip of the device (there was a learning curve), but now that I've been using it consistently I've perfected my technique and this problem. disappeared. In fact, a few days ago I noticed that my gums no longer bleed in this problem area after brushing my teeth and I feel much better overall. Not only do they work well with clenched teeth, but they also do well in awkward positions as the head is flexible and can be angled, making it much easier to reach those hard-to-reach areas.
