Review on 🔧 AC533 Fuel Injection Idle Air Control Valve by Standard Motor Products - Assorted Sizes, One Size by Gerson Lagerquist

Bought because my wife's car was starting to idle strangely (in cold weather the revs were typically high, but after warming up the revs fluctuated regularly and very consistently between 1500 and 2000 rpm ). Some research online has shown that this is most likely either a vacuum leak or a faulty IACV (this point). I did a quick check of the hoses and couldn't find anything, so watched a few YouTube videos on how to remove the old one and install the new one with minimal removal of other parts (the best are a series of 2-3 videos from a Chinese manufacturer ). Guy with a pretty heavy accent. Don't let the accent fool you, it's really good.) I knew in advance that the coolant would flow, but I wasn't expecting SUCH. I waited for it to stop flowing, dug out the old gasket (it sits in a fairly deep recess), installed a new gasket, and screwed in a new IAC. I started the engine and after it warmed up again the revs started to jump! But then I remembered that I forgot to do the last step - reset the ECU. So I unplugged the battery for about 5 minutes, plugged it back in, started the car and then it works fine. Just now oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo just a week but so far so good. If anything happens I will update!
