Color Matters: Triathlon

This year I used it for a cube workout and a sprint triathlon. I've competed in sprint, olympic and half-iron triathlons about a dozen times, but have never trained in such a complete triathlon suit. Ironically, I felt like I was going faster with a fitted upper than with a separate cycling jersey or jersey, and my watch proved me right. On average, about 1.5 to 2 mph is better, all other things being equal. It's incredibly comfortable and moves with me. I can't compare it to other tri suits but I know you can easily spend double and I have no regrets for not spending more. Can't speak to durability either, but I have Synergy triathlon shorts that are still perfect after three years and a Synergy wetsuit that has held up great so far, so I expect the same. I have Sparx triathlon shorts which are of lower quality than my Synergy shorts and that is one of the reasons I bought them and not their cheaper triathlon suits. I had the blue/black version in my basket all winter and it became unavailable and when I actually ordered I went with the metallic gray thinking all black might be too hot. What I didn't think of is how sweat shows up on any shade of gray and instantly turns it into a two tone gray with material color and sweat. Also, my wife said that black can be a little more "modest" and not as " revealing" as grey. I agree. The description says there is a humility bar to maintain humility, but it doesn't seem to do much. Then again, this is a triathlon suit, so tight skin is the norm anyway.
