Affordable incandescent bulb that works
This product was purchased to replace a GE 48W PAR30 (GE48PAR30HIRFL) bulb. Installation location in my bedroom, on a dimmer. The original GE lightbulb blew out in May 2015, about 2.5 years after installation (installed January 2013). I had trouble finding the same bulb online so I bought this as a replacement. The Phillips lamp is noticeably brighter (920 vs 840 lumens), but only if you look for the difference. Casual viewers won't watch twice. The expected lifespan of this particular lamp is only 1100 hours (compared to GE's 4200 hours) so I would estimate it to last less than 2.5 years. The bulb was installed on June 11, 2015 and I will update this review once it burns out.
