Review on Scotch M1408 Household Scissor 8 Inches by Summer Hendricks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not for neurosurgery, but good for cutting other things

Scissors are an amazing household item, it's an inanimate object but it seems to mysteriously travel around the house and then hide. It usually accomplishes this feat just a few minutes before you need to use it. With that in mind, I decided to order one of these Scotch household shears. There were quite a few scissors ranging in price from two to about $25. Now I don't need a $25 pair to get neurosurgery, and I don't want to buy a boring two-dollar metal bar. I decided to order these because they were a standard 8 inch size, they were suitable for both left and right handed people, myself and my wife, and they were designed for general home use, just what I needed. The handle is comfortable, the blade is straight and true, the edges are sharp. It obviously had no problem cutting paper, but it did a good job with thin poster board too. I wouldn't recommend using them too often on thick card stock as they will likely dull fairly quickly. Used as ordinary household scissors to cut paper and thin cardboard, these scissors last quite a long time. It makes a robust and well-made impression. The hinge is protected by plastic knobs so it won't get caught when you're cutting fabric or other materials. I love them and will give them four stars and recommend them for my next scissor purchase.
