Tool will not fit 4.6L 3V spring. The lock cap seating hole is too large and does not sit on the lock cap but on the spring itself. The main pin is too short and bottoms out before the spring compresses. For springs that are more in the center of the cylinder head, the tool won't even fit due to the gap between the spring and the cylinder head casting. Reconfigure and buy the original.
