I bought these thinking I'd use a stainless steel thing because I've seen reviewers of similar products had trouble breaking plastic squeegees and making a mess. But the stainless steel trinkets were really just for catching a dropped object, not for getting rid of hair, so I used the plastic trinkets very carefully. Working slowly, pulling from side to side, I had no trouble breaking. Only used once to avoid breaking. God, they pulled out a lot of hair!
