Cloud does not work, Wi-Fi connection problems, app and smartphone connection is very cumbersome

Was very happy to receive and install this product. However, there are some serious problems. Image quality, resolution and Co. are, as expected, top. However, to install the OBD, the wiring harness just wouldn't work, so I had to take it to a car service to try it out. It didn't work for them either, so it was hardwired to the fuse box, which got me $150 from a $500 sunk cost. However, the worst came later. The whole reason I chose this model was that the videos would be updated on the cloud. It will not work. Even though I have a 2020 luxury SUV with Wi-Fi, I couldn't get the camera, my car, and the app to work together. Customer service said I need a hotspot on my phone. Although I signed up to pay $25 a month to have the best wifi in my car. After calling my ISP and adding another charge for the hotspot feature to my WiFi plan, I still couldn't get my camera, phone, and car to connect and work together to take advantage of the cloud capabilities. 3 hours on the phone with a very patient support rep who knew the product well but to no avail. They said that they have many problems with the app and there is nothing else they can do at the moment. Another big disappointment and I'm not sure if that's related, but I have to sync between dashcam, car and phone EVERY time. I start the car which takes a few minutes JUST to watch the video on my smartphone. I get in and out of my car 20 times a day so it's a total headache. The recommended large Sandisk 128 SD card also didn't work with it, so I'm stuck with 32 Thinkware. All in all, if they can fix this problem by syncing and more importantly uploading to the cloud, it could be a good product, but for now it's not as useful as it sounds and not worth buying . The product/cloud interface markets in a way that I thought would be pretty smooth (like my home system) where I could pull video from the cloud on a pc, tablet etc and that is AWAY from the case . If I need footage now I can eject the SD card later and bring it to my computer and upload it, but I don't pay extra for that and if I get kidnapped I doubt they will patiently let me collect my SD card before the Key collection is removed. The product and the technology simply don't exist yet, or Thinkware can't deliver.
