We have two cats. One really likes this tool and doesn't mind if I forget the vacuum and turn it on while combing it (in fact, you don't have to turn it on until you're ready to suck up the hairs it picks up); the other prevents me from touching it with the brush even when the vacuum is off. The application is fun and removes a surprising amount of hair. I wish it would fit in addition to my Dyson vacuum with a regular vacuum hose or come with some sort of adapter, but I still recommend it because you can either seal the loose connection by hand or wait to turn the vacuum on if you need to. to clean the instrument.
