I used it to lay cables through the inner wall between the bathroom and the hallway. This allowed me to plug in my phone, ethernet, and the bathroom power strip. Very simple and easy to do. I used a long thin drill bit to drill a hole in the drywall on either side of the wall so the grommet holes line up. Using the supplied hole saw, I then drilled holes for the female connector (green plastic parts) with a cordless drill. The holes lined up pretty well using this method. The hardest part of the entire 15 minute project was getting the power cord through the slot in the grommet (white rubber pieces). These bushings are made of a hard, rubbery material and the slots are somewhat inflexible. Tips: To drill holes, use a medium-speed drill bit, but work your way slowly across the drywall to get a nice, clean hole. Don't push it, let the crown do the work. To get the cords through the grommets, the trick is to push in part of the slit and pull out the other part to open them for the cords. Pros: All inclusive kit at a very reasonable price. Complete the entire project quickly and easily. Cons: The grommets are a bit inflexible, but they're enough to accommodate a two-pronged power cord. I'm not sure about the large 3-pin connector. Eyelets are very difficult to remove from wall sleeves that have been snapped into place. Rearranging or adding cables will not be easy.
