We have a 2014 GMC Acadia with about 109,000 miles on it. We bought it used and when I got it I noticed that the gear oil hadn't been changed yet. So I did a conditioner and the transmission has improved by 90%. 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 were a bit heavy shifting though, not bad but I knew it shifted smoother than what it was doing. So I got a ZMAX which I used to use in my oil but never in a transmission. Needless to say, he got the shift points perfectly clean. After about 30 minutes of driving he already switched the snooter. After driving it to and from work for a few days my wife is now like new. Super happy with this product. This is not a product that solves mechanical problems. But I figured my problem was just a paint issue around the magnet drives where the oil hadn't been changed. GM recommends using transmission fluid every 40,000 miles. So yes, if you have slightly heavier shifts then you are used to it too. Get it and it will erase it. No need to pump out the oil, just add the product and go, it's that simple. After about 1000 miles the product will be fully absorbed into the metal, cleaning and lubricating the paint spots. This product is not designed to repair worn transmission parts. So don't worry because it will leave a bad taste in your mouth. It penetrates the metal easily so the paint or carbon will not stick to metal objects. Contact Prolong or Bestline if you need to overhaul a worn gearbox.
