Review on 🧲 Cruiser Accessories 79150 Mounting Plate: Black, Durable and Easy-to-Install by Mike Goodwin

This item was exactly what I needed having recently bought a used Audi A3. Having had trouble installing the backplate, I ordered this mount as a temporary replacement while I repaired the original mount. Now that he's in the car I like him so much I'll probably leave him there forever. The only problem was that the included fasteners were too long. I scooped up some #14 x 1/2" sheet metal screws (Everbilt 806651). They're almost too long, so I took a good pair of wire cutters and snipped off the pointy ends of the screws. This won't lose the thread engagement, but it will makes sure the screws don't chip the paint on the back of the trunk where the bracket is on the A3 This plate isn't going anywhere.
