Mac OSX camera software has problems

The camera is recognized on my Mac, the picture quality is good, nice colors and resolution. The audio is poor, but that's not what I bought this camera for, so I'm fine with that. The advantage of this camera is 1) upgradeable firmware and 2) advanced image management via software utility. There are some issues in both areas as I am writing this review at the end of November 2020. The firmware update utility only works on PC, there is no version for Mac. While it would be nice to think I could update the firmware, it looks like I've had no luck as a Mac user so far. I think I can live with that because everything works perfectly. A more serious problem lies in the settings utility. It's almost impossible to find it on the PTZ Optics website. I had to search Google for "PTZOptics Download" and then found on this page that I needed a webcam setup tool. I originally had version 2 which would not open on my Mac. After an email exchange with the support team, they released version 1.1 on this page, which basically works but has one very important drawback: it doesn't allow me to fully control the exposure manually. I can do the white balance and most other adjustments I need, but the exposure control I need for my purposes is not working at the moment. I've contacted support again and we'll see if they can fix the exposure control issue in the software. Nevertheless, the camera delivers a good picture with relatively little noise. Control of most other picture options is great and everything works as expected.
