I've had this thing for about a year. I only used it for about 3 minutes and drew about eight straight lines on the plywood. Contained internally in a steel case, hung neatly on a perforated plate. It hasn't dropped completely, and the black powder coating is peeling, taking measurements and markings with it. The steel appears to be corroded prior to powder coating due to rust pushing the powder coating off from below. If the measurements and markings were at least stamped into the metal, it could be reused even after the paint has worn off. But now when the paint is peeling it needs marking and measuring along with the rain during this thing as nothing more than a straight edge except when going through an area that goes from peeled and non-peeled paint.
