They are of excellent quality and easy to use. I would recommend the factory modification. You have gathered a loop at the soft, taut end to make working with the carabiner easier. I understand. But by doing this you made the end of the loop thicker. Now it's too thick to fit through the narrow holes on the handlebars of an off-road motorcycle. Between cables and rod. I have KTM and Kawasaki. The loop does not go through the holes on either bike. Now I can't use the built in soft bands and actually have to use a separate one. Defeat the target. Otherwise, I am very satisfied. A simple fix would be to not pull the end of the loop together.
