I am so disappointed with this bird box, firstly the hooks for hanging are terrible and when you screw them in they pierce the inside of the box making it very dangerous for adults and chicks. Even if you go through a double-thick piece of wood placed inside (for that purpose I suppose). The lid is misaligned, which creates a slight gap and I have to physically press on it to close it. Let's talk about a wobbly perch that doesn't fit in the hole provided, falls over with the slightest movement. I had to take a dremel drill bit, cut a wooden bar out of a cage and use a screw to attach my own sturdy bar. Then on the lid - for lifting they have a little hole you can put your finger in and lift the lid. The problem is that budgies chew, they would have a hole big enough to take in three birds at a time. How about adding some metal around the edges? Bad quality, bad design, buyers beware.
