I have an OLD, like the original Wii. The adapter that came with it had component (or composite, I'm confusing them) connections, but my new TV only has connections for HDMI and USB ports. Didn't really expect it to work, but it worked. There is a small audio connector on the adapter, but you don't need it for HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) because HDMI combines audio and video. This adapter even came with a 3ft HDMI cable which is excellent and just the right length to connect to my TV with no tangles. I am very happy to be able to play on my old game system again!
