Review on 🚴 Schwalbe Cx Comp Bicycle Tire by James Hardin

I bought these tires because my boyfriend and I decided to drive 330 miles from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC along the Great Allegheny and C&O Channel Paths . On the first day of travel (June 23, 2016) we had cloudy weather and a dry route; and the tires rolled smoothly and efficiently over GAP's crushed white limestone. However, the weather quickly deteriorated. The next day, a violent storm soaked the entire region, making the trail slippery and soft. Although the conditions were far from ideal, these tires kept me from getting stuck deep in the gravel. By the time we reached Cumberland we found that the storm had destroyed the C&O, which pales in comparison to the GAP in being nothing more than an undeveloped donkey track. These tires gripped some hard ground and were excellent at shredding excess mud. To be honest the only time I almost lost control once was due to clutch issues and that was because I went off one of the canal tolls too quickly and went into an unforeseen tight corner. On that occasion, my heart pounded and a few horrible words escaped my mouth as I felt my center of gravity shift significantly and my momentum shift horizontally toward the mosquito-infested canal. Fortunately, the crisis was averted because these tires dug into the ground and restored a good trajectory. I finally managed to drive the whole trip without an apartment! And there's a lot of life in the way of another similar journey.
