You need external speakers

Let's start with the number one problem with this player: the speakers are bad. You suck badly. They sound awful and I was so disappointed when I first heard them because I thought vinyl was supposed to sound good. However, as they say, if you connect it to a good sound system, the player is excellent. For the price I don't think you should expect more. I'll tell you why I decided to keep him because he's so damn cute. I mean I really wanted a retro turntable and that's it. When I connected it to my Kikburn speaker via an auxiliary cable (not included), I was delighted. I am very happy with the results. I'm a little concerned you won't be able to close the lid while playing your records because I have young children and I'm nervous they might bump into it while playing, but I think it will add a significant amount of bulk to the device , so I'm not sure I would actually change that. The auto stop feature is great and much needed. It's a little pointless that there's an option to turn it off because I don't see why you'd ever want to turn it off. The soft stylus drop feature is also very handy and makes playing vinyl records extremely easy for anyone. And again, it looks so darn cute that I can't bring myself to return it for one that has a case, for example, or a better speaker, etc. Overall I think it's great for the price. I'm very happy with it, but you must know that you will definitely need external speakers for your lovely turntable.
