Excellent lock judging by the reviews (on Revain.com and other places). Therefore, this review is a comparison between this lock and the ABUS Granit X-Plus 540/160 HB 230, 9" U-lock, another top lock. If you were like me, you might have trouble deciding between these two locks. I have two bikes that needed locks so I decided to order one of each, returning the one I liked the least and replacing it with the one I liked the most. Well I'm keeping both. To summarize the differences: Kryponite is Harley and ABUS is Ducati. Both have almost the same dimensions and weight. But while the ABUS has a sleeker and more refined look, everything about New York screams big, heavy, powerful cars. Please note that this is only an appearance. In fact, the characteristics of both castles are very similar. ABUS base and shutter have the same grey-black metallic look. New York has a strong yellow base. The sides of the ABUS bolt are slightly flattened, while the New York bolt is round. The New York key is also thicker and looks older than the ABUS key. Both have blue LEDs in the same button. ABUS comes with two keys, New York with three. This can be important if you need an extra key or you can easily lose it.
