Review on Grout-Eez Ultimate Grout Cleaner: Effortless, Powerful, and Safe for All Grout Types. by Aaron Carney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hands down the best grout cleaner and exceptional customer care

Grout-eez is by far the best grout cleaner you will find, requires the least amount of work and is backed by an amazingly quick maintain. No time-consuming cleaning up of pastes, foils or powdery residues and no great effort. Feel free to read about my experiences or scroll down to see my listings. We have a tan grout that was slightly soiled (mostly just stained) but hadn't been cleaned properly in years. I spent a week cleaning up the solution; I started out with all the do-it-yourself methods like vinegar, peroxide, OxiClean, etc., then switched to specialty chemicals like Zep, CLR, and more. Nothing has changed but luckily most cleaners have guarantees so you can return them for a full refund. I finally bit the bullet and got Grout-eez (I'm only saying that because it's "expensive" compared to most cleaners). Fantastic results! Save your time and nerves and just get it. Immediately after spraying the solution, it hissed and started pulling out the dirt. After leaving it for 10 minutes I wiped it off and it looked like dirty soapy water. At first I was disappointed after drying because the stains just seemed to be moving. The rinse water was dirty so it definitely cleaned better than anything I'd tried, but the grout didn't look cleaner. I tried again and got similar results so I contacted The Floor Guys. Shari herself replied and worked with me to get the best results. After another attempt at grouting and drying for 3 days (to make sure the grout was completely dry) the grout was better but still not clean. She could easily offer me a refund, blame anything, or claim she was fully cleaned, but she knew her product worked better, so she sent me Stone-eez as a pre-cleaner. It arrived quickly so I resumed cleaning. I made a 1:8 dilution (unlike Grout-eez it's concentrated and needs to be mixed with water), applied to grout, let set, rinsed, Grout-eez cleaned and rinsed again. After drying, the joint was clean! I recommend contacting The Floor Guys if you are unhappy with anything. They will work with you and be ready to contact their chemists to find a solution. Most grout should be easy to clean, and most of mine actually was. My test spots turned out to be tricky grease stains that weren't typical and needed a stronger Stone-eez. In the pictures before, after Stone-eez and after Grout-eez you can see the results of one of my difficult moments; Again, Stone-eez isn't needed and most of my solution is erased without it. I make the following recommendations based on my experience: *Follow the directions: spray, soak, shake, rinse. You don't have to rub it beforehand or rub it hard; just shake it up. * The holding time is actually "wet time". Leave the Grout-eez solution on until the solution is damp and shiny, then rinse off before it soaks into the solution. If the area dries quickly, apply more Grout-eez to keep it moist for 5-10 minutes. The idea is to soak up the dirty liquid instead of forcing it back into the grout.* Some grout can be very porous and stay wet (dark) for up to three days. Allow enough time to dry before deciding which areas need more attention. * If some areas are not clear after two uses of Grout-eez, consider purchasing Stone-eez as a pre-cleaner. Grout-eez is great for everyday dirt and grease, but some types of dirt require a stronger alkaline cleaner.
