Installation is unduly difficult and risky
Pipes must be fully inserted. If there is a leak, you did not insert the hose deep enough. The mystery is why the manufacturer leaves this step at the discretion of the buyer. There doesn't seem to be any reason (maybe some people want shorter hoses?) why it can't just come with all the hoses pre-assembled, so all you have to do is screw the metal parts onto your water pipes.
