This is a good, stable pose for my little one. She loves kicking the pool in the float. I found it very difficult to inflate. My husband ended up using the pump and eventually got it. The tent is completely useless. Luckily my daughter doesn't mind a sun hat, otherwise the hood won't hold up properly. However, a real float works very well. My little one has adorable chunky hips and this float isn't too tight on her legs. I have found many age appropriate swimmers to be too tight and leave marks, but this one is comfortable and safe.
