This is a high quality bike lock. The locking mechanism is strong and reliable. The shield over the cable protects the bike spokes and prevents the cable from rusting. I live near the ocean and have to be careful to buy products that can withstand the harsh salty air. This lock is designed and built to withstand the harsh conditions that mines are subjected to. The self-retracting cord makes it easy to store when not in use. I am very happy with this lock and the price was lower than other poor quality locks. I bought two of these. Good product!
