The covers are very difficult to remove. However, high-quality plastic.

I bought these for small hiding spots. The covers are very difficult to remove. You really have to stick your nails in to rip it off. So not super ideal for caches. It's probably not ideal for anything else since lids are so annoying. What they do have, however, is their durability. These are high quality plastic bugs. They won't break easily, that's for sure.
