During my second ride with these bearings, one on the outside of the rear wheel fell apart completely inside the wheel. The wheel was then allowed to slip part way off the axle before the nut engaged the second bearing on the inside of the wheel. The failure could be related to the use of plastic for the inner ring, which holds and keeps the balls on track inside the wheel. Carrier. Full metal bearings can be more stable. It was a catastrophic failure at high speed that could have resulted in very serious injuries. Luckily I wasn't hurt, but others can get into a similar situation and suffer seriously from such a breakdown at any speed. Needless to say I am very disappointed and will not be purchasing these bearings again.
