I was very pleased with the end result of using this cement to fill in some Air gaps between parts of mySears Roebuck Co. 119-57 and King 628 Box Stove. First I followed the instructions and prepared the surfaces accordingly. After applying the cement I had no problems with cement blisters or cracking during or after the curing process. Oven cement is as messy as paint and grout, so be sure to wear gloves, safety glasses, and have damp paper towels/disposable towels handy. Another tip I recommend is if you have an old cast iron stove, use this glue to seal the inside instead of the outside as the excess cement left after wiping will dry very quickly and spoil the cosmetic look of the oven will be ruined and you will end up having to remove it. You must use a wire brush. And the last useful information I can give is that it is not intended for bonding cracks in cast iron. If you have repetitive cracks or gaps, simply fill them in again. The main purpose of this cement is only to seal places where there are air gaps. Have fun and enjoy.
