Bass quality is decent, a bit punchy and lively which I like (maybe you have other preferences) but then it goes downhill. The noise cancellation on these is terrible. I've wanted to use them on planes and at work, but there's almost no noise cancellation. I can still hear that random knock on the house and when I speak to someone the difference is barely noticeable. It could also be because the ear pads aren't big enough to fit snugly in my ears, leading to the second issue. Your comfort is terrible. Almost as bad as school headphones that put pressure on the ear. After 10 minutes the pillows started cutting the ears and the pillows are not big at all. It should be advertised as in the ear, not in the ear. I am very disappointed as there are almost no pillows and it gets very hot. I paid $180 for it, and my regular audiophiles, which are $60 cheaper, are way better.
