The product worked well. But after a year the pump failed. No problem - there's a guarantee, right? Wrong - that's where the problem started. There are no local service centers. I could drive three hours and give it to a service center and then of course three hours to pick it up. Or I could send it to a service center for just over $100. The customer service rep suggested I contact the local store to see if they would become a customer service rep, which I did. They said they would contact the carpet doctor but had previously tried to become a representative but had been unsuccessful. The carpet doctor did not return to them. I have an email with at least 20 messages from a Rug Doctor "helpdesk" rep in which she refused to contribute in any way to the process (which she originally suggested). She was frankly rude. I called and complained to someone else. He would come back to me. He never did. My car broke down in January. Now towards the end of April.
